Hotel "Crocus"
The Hotel "Crocus" is situated on the left side of the road at the
entrance to Dombai Valley on the small hill, 100 m after gasoline station and private cafes,
150 m before the Dombai-Ulgen bridge.
There are4 floors in the hotel. 50 m beside the Hotel is armchair funikular (1-st station).
On the left side = 300 m (if you look to the front of the Hotel) there are training
ski - slope for the beginners.
The distance to the the Wagon funicular is about 300 m.
There are two types of appartments in the hotel:
DBL in Blocks 2+2 : means 2 ordinar DBLs with shared shower and toilet (regular hot water).
LUX: Two rooms in the same block, but one of them is bedroom, another is hall with TV,
refrigerator, telephone. This rooms look like european style with more comfortable
furniture.
All the appartments have balcony.
Where to eat ? In cafe "Festival" on the first floor. Here in cafe are bar and
dancing hall where you can spend evenings.
Additional services: ski-store, parking.
Recent two summer seasons the Hotel "Crocus" used to settle Chechen
children. Since that a number of its appartments struggled and now they need
to be repaired. Most part of the Hotel is under reconstruction now. In 2002
the walls in the front of the hotel were half-destroyed on the 1-3 floors,
remaining only the beems. This was made for the total reconstruction
to build absolutely new appartments of european style. All the balconies are under
the reconstruction too.
So now in the season 2002-2003 only some DBLs are available.
Advantages
Short distance to armchair funicular.
Short-slope for the beginners is near the hotel (300 m). When the bed wheather,
and all the funikulars are closed, you can ski here.
Disadvantages
Short list of available appartments (in 2002-2003).
Long distance to wagon funikular (300 m)
Long distance to the common aprees-ski zone which is near the
"MMC Gornye Vershiny"
Continuous reconstruction- doesn't look well
