Hotel "Snezhinka"
Recently considered to be the best hotel in Dombai, before the apperance of
new private hotels such as "Twin Peaks",
"Aura", etc. The name "Snezhinka" means in russian
"Snowball". The hotel was built in the Soviet period specialy for foreign
tourists, and m.b. rated as real 3***.
It is situated 250 m from the funikular behind the hotel "MMC Gornye Vershiny"
to the right - 100 m. There are 2 buildings and one 3-storey separate president-cottage
in the Hotel with total number of appartments = 35 (for 64 persons).
13 standard DBLs : 1-room, shower, TV, telephone and regrigerator.
18 improved Dbls: 2-room, shower, TV, telephone and regrigerator.
4 appartmentrs for 4 persons: 3-room, shower and bathroom, TV, telephone and refrigerator.
One 2 storey LUX with fireplace hall.
In the first building there are only standard 1-room DBLs. There are no SNGLs in
the hotel as well as in the other hotels in Dombai, but there is one small DBL = N2
(approx. 7 m.) which is cheaper and can be used as SNGL. The TVs in all the appartments
are foreign made and some european channels can be received (ex. sport, or french erotic).
The other appartments are situated in the second building. Frankly speaking the appartments in
the second building are of better quality. So the price is higher.
The cottage has 3 storey, fireplace hall, bathroom and sauna and can accomodate up to
10 persons.

Approximate prices: 40 $ whole DBL appartment in the first building, 70 $ -
in the second building, 120 $ 3-room appartment and the cottage - 800$.

Advantages
comfortable appartments
Own dancing hall and sauna (not all of the hotels in Dombai have sauna and dancing)
Not far from the appress-ski zone in the MMC
Disadvantages
The distance to the armchair funicular - is more then 500 m
Well audibility in the first building - sitting in the number you can here how the door is closed in the
appartments somewhere on the floor. But this is the same with the other big
Dombai Hotels (ex. "Dombai", and this is not so
with the second building of "Snezhinka".
"Solnechnaya Dolina", etc)
Big price, for the same prices you can find more comfortable
rooms (ex. "Aura", "Ruslan")
Telephone of the Hotel 5-43-21. Since there still is no international
dialing code in Dombai, you must ask the telephone operator to dial in
Karachay-Cherkessia the city Dombai or Teberda.
