New WindSurfing club "Mistral" is opned
in Arhipo-Osipovka - new building of eurostyle (split condition, big store etc.).
Everything is absolutely new - Boards, masts, sails - hasn't been unpacked yet.
Rent for 1 hour costs 300 roubles, 2 hours = 45o roubles etc., All the daylight = 1000 r.
There were surfers from Saratov, and told us that conditions are the same as in Anapa.
When the beginners are going away to the see (each day), rescue service uses new
powerfull Bombardier XP.
The wind this days was weak - special for the beginers training, but on Monday
there was great wind for the "adults"

Some groups coming from Elbrus told that there were
problems for those who climb the Elbrus from the North. The main problem was to return back -
the road was destructed by the mud-flows

Glebych told:
Since the wellknown flood there were no weekends for the Dombai's
rescue team (working in Stavropol region). The last two weeks they didn't
save the people. The main activity was repairing: they helped to the road
constructors with repairing bridges, then to electricity teams with repairing
wires. In one place where the river broke the cemetery and continued to brake,
they helped to rebure... Now the amount of work, which couldn't be done by
the ordinary people, become smaller. The Dombai's rescue team returned to Dombai.
The nearest month rescuers are going to deal only with climbing activity.
"Finally we start to climb !!!"

The School of Starting Travel Cources (Mountain Travel)
in ATO Club under the International Independent
Ecological-Politological University (IIEPU) went to its climbing trainings to Uzunkol
(Not to spare Dombai routes as it was previously told). See details here...

The second group having been come to Dombai
through the programm Mountain-See of the Saratov's travel Company Cruise 2000
(see news on July 19 ), finished their programm and
departured Dombai to start the see part of their travel into Gelenjik (Black See).
At the same time the third group came to Dombai = 36 persons including adults and children.

The Rope Funiculair in Dombai which felt down
previously into the Amanauz river at the end of June
(see news on June 4) is working now. Last two days it is working in test manner
I.e. not all the day and not under the full loading.

Some groups coming right now from the Elbrus told
their good impressions. Everything were OK in the route from the South. The only thing - the bad
weather with a lot of snow for more then a week. They regreted that didn't take skis with them.
Since the slope up the "Mir" station was full of snow - it was a great possibility to ski, but they didn't use it :(

All who has skill in climbing but doesn't have any
documents confirming this fact the climbing camp "Bezengi"
can help to get the appropriate documents. Initially they talk to you, then gether you with
the group of "badges", and you go with them to the routes of 2-nd range of difficulty
If you are not so experienced, they include you into the group of beginners, it means
both theoretical and practical trainings plus a couple of climbing for the route of
1-st range of difficulty. The best time is the start of the camp's change = 24.07. или 10.08.

Yesterday (Tuesday 9.07) the big group
from Piatigorsk started its route to the "Elbrus from the North"
(we told ablut the first step of the action earlier on 26.06 ).
New step of the action is dedicated to 200-th anyversary of KavMinVody.
The group pans to come to the peak on July 15.

Alot of foreigners came to Bezengi among them germans,
ukrainians, polish, chekh. In Addition there are trainings of the climbing club "Storm".
from S.Petersburg. By the way the camp Bezengy is open not only for profies, but for the beginners and inorganized groups too.

The climbing trainings of Children Centre of creation and travel "Medvdkovo"
started inthe climbing camp Alibek. There are group
of children going their mountain route of 1-st range of difficulty and ther second group is on the
travel route of 3-nd range of difficulty. This groups are the winners of Moscow climbing competitions
among the children. This Dombai trainings is the present, payed by Estern-North prefect of Moscow.

The climbing club of MIPT, went out to
the climbing camp Uzunkol on 2.07.02. They plan to go for the routes of 1 and 2
range of difficulty in the region of Western Caucasus. For the details see
news from 21.06). They've already gone their
acclimatization routes.

Everything is OK in Cherkessk. Railways are
repaired and all the trains are coming to Cherkessk. Market prices and those for gazoline
are as ususal.
The Climbing camp Uzunkol is OK too: electricity and
gas in order, as well as telecommunication.
The road from Karachaevsk to Hurzuk is also repaired but looks not so good
(for the sake of safety there is special meeting car from Uzunkol camp - GAS-66).
There are 4 groups in the camp (approximately 30-40 sportsmen). And one more
group is coming today.

There was no flood in the climbing camp Bezengi.
The camp is working in ordinary manner. The first change is opened as it was
planned on July 6. A lot of sportsmen.

The gymnasium for the restling in the hotel
MMC Gornye Vershiny was reconstructed from the
Conference room (not from solarium as it was previously told in news on May 17.
There are 2 restling mats. In spite of reconstruction there remains 400 places at the
conference room.

The bypass raod is coming to Dombai from MinVody to Cherkessk
and then through Habes. Thus the reserved way is 15-20 km. longer.

Tomorrow the first change in Bezengi will start.
The second and the third will start
2-nd change from 24.07 to 07.08.
3-rd change from 10.08 to 24.08.

Spring travel in May together with "Adventure Collection"
took place by the river Zelenchuk 26.04 - 4.05, and by the
Axaut 4.05 - 11.05. There were 4 kayaks + 10 catamarans + 1 raft.
The tourists were take seats in travel base Sulahat.
In the morning you start from the warm bed then to Wet Zelenchuk, come to the end
of threshold, then return by car. In the evening - nice party near the fireplace and back
to the warm bed.
The travel to Axaut was more difficult
"real" travel ;) with tents, fires and all the deals. But at the end - you went out from
the cold river and from the hail and return in 3 hours by car to the warm shower in Sulahat base.

The School of Starting Tourist Preparation together with the
mountain club of Moscow State University are going to start training courses in the West Caucasus.
Since there may be problems with approaching the climbing base "Uzunkol" because of flood they
decided to prepare the reserve route additional to their first plans (see news 3.07).
The reserve route starts with climbing base Alibek in Dombai. The programm:
Climbing base Alibek - 2 training days in the
region of Djuguturlu-kel Lakes
- pass Alibek - pass Kichi-Teberda (another name pass of 73) -
pass Baduk-Huty - pass Baduk - pass Muhinsky - Teberda.
All the groups wil have th same reserve route. All the routes are of 1 range of difficulty.
Since there is unprooved info about the remaining possibility to approach Uzunkol the school managers
don't refuse to remain in the first plans to run their trainings in Uzunkol.
In any case the start and finish dates are already known : - 8.07 arrival to Nevinnomyssk,
20.07 - departure from Nevinnomyssk.

The Rope funiculair in Dombai felt down to the underlying river
at the end of June. The repairing teem wanted to change the main string of the funiculair and
failed what resulted in falling the cabin. At the moment the funiculair doesn't work. The chair elevator N1
doesn't work too. So the only way to get the top of Musa is to go to the start of chair elevator N3 (LEE Valley)
by feet and then use the N3.

In Uzunkol told - the base is working, electricity exists, canteen is working.
The base is ready to meet all the groups, which earlier informed their plans to come to Uzunkol.
The pass to Uzunkol is opened. For the better transfer there will be receiving team in a car.

Information from climbing base "Alibek":
The main road to Dombai doesn't work. But there are two reserve roads, available to the transport of any kind
including big buses. The situation in Dombai is stable. Since yesterday the weather is sunny, there
were no flood, everything is working properly.
At the moment there is a lot of snow upstairs on mountains. Leggings and lights are recomended.
In addition early in the morning when approaching some routes solid firn is possible - climbing-irons are recomended.
At the same time the base Uzunkol doesn't work and the road to it is closed.

Mountain Club Skif didn't change its plans to go to Dombai.
The departure date-time is 5 July 21.12 msk, train N 34 (Moscow-Vladikavkaz) to the station Nevinnomysskaya, carriage N3.
Meeting at 20-30 in Kazanskaya railway station (the corner near the platform N1)
The return departure from Nevinnomysskaya is planned to be on 26 July by the train N 41 (Nalchik-Moscow).

The summer season is going higher. Two days ago
one more group of tourists came to the hotel MMC Gornye Vershiny.
This time they are 40 people from "Stavrolen" Company (Budenovsk). This group as well as
previous one coming from Saratov is guided through the local canyons and waterfalls by the guide
Valdemar Zhernovoy (programm is analogous to the one published here)

Yesterday June 30, the second group of tourists
of the Programm Mountains-Sea depatured the hotel Gornye Vershiny and went to Gelenzhik.
At the same evening the new group of about 38 persons (both adults and children).
AtIn addition the new group arrived - the federal team of wrestlers - approximatelly
40 persons. They are going to train in the specially for them preared hall (see. news on May 17).
Their trinings will continue up to July 15.
